Basics of photography

 GET STARTED...

Okay, so you have got a great new DSLR. now what? Here I will show you the basics of photography that will lay the foundation for everything. I'm going to explain these basics in such way that you can start shooting like a pro, not an amateur. I'll explain more about that as we go...

EXPOSURE

What is exposure? It determines what is actually recorded on the digital sensor or film of the camera and it's controlled by three elements:- APERTURE, SHUTTER SPEED, and ISO( it refers to how sensitive your sensor is to light it's being exposed to.)

TYPES OF LENSES

when it comes to lenses there are a few different types we can choose from. the right type of lenses depends on what you looking to shoot. lets discuss a few of the common lenses so you can decide which you may be interesting in.

Telephoto: Typically a lens that's around 300mm or longer. Great for sports, animals and pretty much just about anything else you want to get close. really close!

wide angle: Typically 28mm or wider. these are great for landscape photos.

Macro: A lens that allows you to get in really close to really small subjects. use this for close-up photography.
